Distinguished Educator

HEALS Academy Distinguished membership recognizes educators who have demonstrated longstanding excellence, leadership, and service to both the Academy and the broader education mission within Rutgers Health and its affiliated health systems.

Distinguished Members are recognized for their significant and sustained impact in education, including scholarship, innovation, and mentorship. Their contributions extend beyond the institution, with influence at regional, national, and/or international levels.

It is anticipated that the application will be open for submissions in Fall 2026.

  • The HEALS Academy Distinguished Educator member level recognizes Rutgers Health educators who
    have demonstrated consistent, sustained and on-going contributions to health professions education.

    The purpose of the Distinguished Educator level is to:
    • Recognize commitment and service to HEALS Academy and excellence in education within Rutgers Health and the profession.
    • Identify expertise that is a resource for others.
    • Promote interprofessional activities, collaboration, and innovation
    • To create a recognizable cohort of distinguished educators who would mentor HEALS Academy fellows.
    • Honor those who champion the mission and goals of HEALS Academy.
